Job Title: Product Owner

Our client, a fast-paced, ever-changing, and exciting start-up, is looking for a Technical Business Analyst who will work closely with product, tech, sales, and operations teams to analyze and identify internal and external business requirements to maximize the value of the online platform and will assist the product owner and tech team in assessing potential solutions based on both internal and external requirement analysis.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Requirements gathering
  • Elicit customer requirements through interviews, surveys, etc.
  • Work with other teams to identify internal requirements and performance bottleneck
  • Document requirements, create user stories and manage product backlog on JIRA
  • Help prioritize and categorize both internal and external identified requirements
  • Work with the product owner and tech team to map the current development schedule with the future plan
  • Write and maintain precise and robust functional document to support the tech plan and design
  • Provide advice in technical solution design and selection
  • Assist in business and project risk analysis
  • Develop training materials and presentations for both internal and external users
  • Assist in identifying business opportunities, expected outcomes and estimated costs



  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field of study or any equivalent combination of relevant background, skills, and experience.



  • 5 years of experience in business analysis or product development for digital products
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and French
  • Familiarity with user research and analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and summarization skills
  • Experience in project management tools (JIRA, Trello)
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details
  • Experience in backlog management
  • Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in software development is an asset
