Job Title:  Depot Repair / Technical Supervisor

Type: Permanent

Location: Mississauga, ON L5T 2B2

Start Date: November 8th, 2021 

Days/Hours: Monday to Friday - 2:30PM to 11PM

Hours/Week: 40

Role:  The Supervisor, ETS is responsible for overseeing, providing direction, and participating in the day to day operations of a technical team of 8-10 team members.  This technical team repairs, tests, configures, and stages coffee machines, consumer electronics, handheld electronic devices, thermal printers, POS equipment and repairs of other devices.  The technical team also stages and configures POS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports on all activities of the technical team in a timely manner
  • Provide direction and lead the technical team on day to day activities, and to follow best practices and procedures consistently and accurately
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment where there are multiple priorities to be managed
  • Ensure that SLA requirements are being met and recognize the need to escalate to management for support when required
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain well organized
  • Communicating to both internal and external customers, vendors, suppliers, and maintaining relationships with these contacts
  • Having the knowledge and expertise to repair, stage, configure, and test all devices that the technical team works on
  • Automate tasks for reporting and stream lining operations
  • Initiate and implement cost savings directives
  • Conduct team meetings, participate in conference calls, and motivate the team to ensure all SLA’s are met

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Two (2) years’ supervisor experience in a fast paced, logistics environment
  • Broad understanding of all the electronic devices being worked on
  • Strong service quality experience with specific measures and accomplishments
  • Proven experience in developing positive employee relations with an emphasis on creating a collaborate team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and SAP a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A sense of urgency to complete multiple tasks and assignments effectively under pressure
  • High level of integrity and honesty
  • Flexible to work overtime/weekends as required with start times subject to change based on needs of the business
  • Excellent time management skills
