Job Description

Our client is currently looking for Senior Deskside Support Technician for more than 13,500 tablet users. The quarterly rollouts will increase the users with the increment of 500 and it is forecasted to be growing over the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform deskside support services installing and troubleshooting of hardware, desktop software and network related issues
  • Provide 2nd or 3rd level Help Desk support
  • Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) activities: hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, and printers
  • Perform basic LAN and internetworking related activities
  • Handle software installation/support/upgrades
  • Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance
  • Respond/update/close calls in ticketing system
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose problem, establish E.T.A., and parts requirements

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
  • Min 3-5+ years of deskside support experience
  • Min 3-5+ years of field service experience doing hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment related activities
  • Min 3-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office/O365
  • Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
  • A+ certification
  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications (a plus)
  • Experience working with a ticketing system
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Displays strong leadership skills and can function in a Team Lead capacity
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision and within SLA
  • Familiar with the Samsung X1 tablet line, experience with trouble shooting and tablet set up.
