Title: Second Level Field Maintenance Technician
Start date: November 4th, 2019
Location: Barrie region
Duration: 6 months
Mandatory requirement:
- MUST have own vehicle and valid drivers license.
- MUST have field service repair experience in either or all PCs, POS and ATM
Responsibilities:
- Technicians MUST have a car and will be driving between locations
- There could be deployment on POS, ATMs and any break-fix requirements, the technicians will be provided one-week training on the equipment before being dispatched as a result they must be quick learners.
- Rotating 8 hours shift - availability 7 days a week and 7 AM to midnight
- Primarily for retail/ break-fix services
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
- Have at least 2 years of field service experience doing hardware rollouts, refreshes, and other deployment-related activities
- Have at least 2 years of desk side support experience
- Have strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
- Have A+ certification
- May have other vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft and/or from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP)
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
- Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
- Networking, Mechanical, and ATM experience will be an asset
- POS and/or Self Checkout equipment experience is mandatory
- Technicians will be assigned to Break Fix and PMs calls
