Job Title: L3 Deskside Support Technician

Type: Contract

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: August 2, 2021

End Date: February 4, 2022

Days/Hours: At least 3 days per week, Mon-Wed-Fri or Mon-Tue-Wed or Wed-Thurs-Fri, additional days as required by the site

Hours/Week: Minimum of 24hrs/Wk

Pay Rate: $30.00-$35.00/hour

Overview Base skills requirements

  • HP, Lenovo, and Dell computer hardware
  • Build, maintain, repair, troubleshoot computer issues
  • Multi-user configuration on a single computer
  • Ricoh and HP printers
  • Knowledge to connecting devices to a LAN and troubleshooting LAN and connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of O365 and COTS software installation and support
  • Ability to perform basic AD admin – manage user accounts – add / remove/ change

This is a production plant so the candidate will be exposed to the following

  • Honeywell VM1 lift truck computer (rarely fails)
  • Honeywell VM3 ruggedized computer (stationary, hard wired)
  • Honeywell CK65A ruggedized hand-held computer
  • Honeywell PX6i label printer
  • Zebra label printer
  • Kronos InTouch 9100 time clock
  • Avaya IP phone system
  • Avaya wireless DECT phone system
  • Must be able to work in sometime harsh conditions, i.e., very loud machinery, must adhere to plant safety rules for shoes, attire, etc.
  • We may need to provide some basic training
