Job Title:  Junior .Net Software Developer
Type: Full time, Permanent
Location:  Mississauga, ON
Starts:  Immediately or with 2 weeks’ notice

Our client is seeking a Junior .Net Developer to work as part of a highly talented, development team to bring a high technology product line to enterprise scale.

The development environment is .NET using C# and WCF with an interesting mix of other technologies (including AMQP, embedded device firmware, real time operating systems and networking) as the solution set is extended into other medical devices and platform offerings! 

This role would ideally suit a recent University graduate with 2 years of experience in .Net Development.  (Focus is on applications and middleware services that provide key business functions including stocking, inventory control, call centers, video infrastructure and workflow. You will work closely with other team members to produce scalable, reliable and secure solutions).

Role:

-Analyze, design and execute application architecture, using test-driven design (TDD) to meet defined technical and business requirements
-Perform debugging and first-tier production support (first-line support will also be required in proof of concept scenarios)
-Create and support documentation
-Research and prototyping

Requirements:

-Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited educational institution
-Eligibility to work in Canada.
-2+ years of relevant work experience in a .NET environment
-Good English language communications skills, are very important to this role.
-Exposure to enterprise-level software development, including security and scalability aspects
-Understanding of Web Services, WS-I standards, and SOA architectural patterns
-Experience with .NET 3.5/4.0, C#, WCF
-Effective verbal and written communications, with an ability to effectively convey information, concepts and ideas to others.
-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work activities, to completion, while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
-Good understanding of relational databases and SQL
-Ability to work effectively inside a multi-disciplinary team environment.
-Ability to effectively navigate dynamic requirements and priorities.
-Strong organization skills, dependability, pro-active, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with attention to detail.
