Position: IT Support Technician
Type: 1-week contract, good chance that it will extend week to week for an undetermined amount of time
Location: Vaughan, ON
Start date: ASAP
Schedule: 8:30 am to 5 pm
About the position: 85% of this role will be answering tickets, resetting passwords, etc.
15% will be replacing/troubleshooting desktop issues
There are 600 users
Must haves:
Excellent communication skills
Good desktop troubleshooting skills
- Troubleshooting support tickets relating technical problems in a desktop support environment
- Support internal end users on our software technology, analyze and track the issues
- Communicate with IT management to escalate any severe issues.
- Setting up new PC workstations, printers and other peripherals
- Knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft 2013/2016
- Maintain, analyze and fix the computer systems, hardware and printers
- Working knowledge of basic network concepts (TCP/IP, Windows networking, Ethernet)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office365, OneDrive and SharePoint
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
Skills:
- Degree, Diploma or Technical school
- 3 years IT experience supporting clients in person and by phone
- A+
