Overview:
Reporting into the Director of Information Technology, the IT Administrator’s ultimate responsibility is in the day-to-day maintenance of the agency’s IT systems.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all IT systems are in working order on a regular basis, including responding to specific problems as they arise
Plan and implement regular maintenance checks for all equipment
Ensure timely responses to the needs of employees
Troubleshoot and maintain local network including Ethernet and WIFI
Day-to-day network functions such as user maintenance, e-mail administration and back-ups
Help desk support via telephone, remote desktop and in person
Responsible for physical equipment moves (telephone, computer, monitors, etc.)
Maintain and foster relationships with key suppliers of IT resources
Responsible, as required, for the day-to-day communication with key suppliers (help desk, etc)
Ensure you have the tools and training required to fulfill the role and responsibilities
Partner with all departments to determine and analyze business requirements
Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of programs and systems for assigned departments
Develop and maintain application related documentation & procedural guidelines
Oversee the design of the technology infrastructure according to business needs
Manage network administration including servers, desktops, and communication systems
Develop and test disaster recovery scenario
Requirements:
College or university diploma or degree in a computer applicable area
2-3 years minimum experience as network/systems administrator
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong skills with Apple computers
Windows Server & Active Directory experience
Experience with cloud technologies like O365 and AWS
Knowledge and experience with JAMF
