Job Title: Level 1 Helpdesk Technician

Type: Contract - 3 months - chance of extension

Location: Scarborough, ON M1W 3E8

Job Description

The successful candidate will be providing 1st/2nd level type support help desk support. They will be contacting users and helping them with the following issues:

  • Windows 7/10 and application issues
  • Outlook support
  • iphone support (not must)
  • ipad support
  • Desktop support
  • Hardware trouble shooting
  • Printer support
  • Remote connectivity support (Juniper)
  • Must be flexible in terms of shift.

TOP SKILLS:

1) 1+ years of experience in a first line help desk role

2) In depth Outlook support

3) Experience with mobile device support (iPad, iPhone) not must

4) Experience with Windows 7/10 support

5) Experience in a help desk role with a large environment. They will be supporting thousands of users on a day to day basis.

Nice to haves:

  • Large enterprise experience - This will be ideal as they will understand the environment
  • Service Now experience - This is the ticketing system that they currently use. It will be a plus if they have experience with this.
  • Windows certifications

Soft Skills:

  • Take direction well as they will need to complete training
  • Fast learner and can pick up quickly during training
  • Work independently
  • Can work well in a team environment
  • Good communication skills are needed as they will be helping users over the phone
