Job Title: Senior Deskside Support Technician

Type: Contract - 12 months

Location: Toronto, ON

Starts: ASAP

Ends: October 2022

**Candidates must be fully vaccinated**

Responsibilities:

  • Perform deskside support services installing and troubleshooting of hardware, desktop software and network related issues
  • Provide 2nd or 3rd level Help Desk support
  • Perform IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) activities: hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, and printers
  • Perform basic LAN and internetworking related activities
  • Handle software installation/support/upgrades
  • Handle bench repairs & remedial maintenance
  • Respond/update/close calls in ticketing system
  • Communicate with customers to diagnose problem, establish E.T.A., and parts requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Have 3-5+ years of deskside support experience
  • Have 3-5+ years of field service experience doing hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment related activities
  • Have 3-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office/O365
  • Have strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills
  • Have A+ certification
  • May have Microsoft or Cisco certifications
  • Experience working with a ticketing system
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Displays strong leadership skills and can function in a Team Lead capacity
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision and within SLA
  • Must have a minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program
  • Familiar with the Samsung X1 tablet line, experience with trouble shooting and tablet set up
