Job Title: Bilingual Product Coordinator (Mandarin & English)
Type: Permanent
Location: Markham, ON
Start Date: May 3rd, 2021
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Hours/Week: 40
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to &65,000.00
Reports to: VP of Sales and Product Development

Position Summary:

Product Coordinator responsible for:

  • Sales support for all regions and channels of the business
  • National Account administrative updates and support
  • Product revision through product life cycle
  • Product implementation from Inception to launch
  • Closely working with sales directors, sales team and marketing to achieve company goals
  • Work closely with Finance to manage rebate programs


Sales Expectations:

  • Develop sales tools and collateral
  • Brief and train the sales force at sales and customer meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executives
  • Dynamic Price and Tier updates for customers
  • Manage monthly rebate updates to customers
  • Analyze and house competition product information


Product Management Expectations:

  • Manage from concept, to design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life
  • Review and update the product strategy and roadmap
  • Manage master pricing and item costing ensuring alignment
  • Update customer pricing as required
  • SKU set up and updates in the ERP system
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing samples relating to factory production and development
  • Work with Technical team in house and R&D in China to ensure all products have proper data and specifications required.
  • Networking internally and externally to acquire information for projects/products and identify future opportunities
  • Communicate with our office in China on product specifications, vendor relations and item sourcing/costing strategies
  • Travel approx. 25%; mostly local but also to manufacturing facilities in Asia and customer visits in North America

Must haves:

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role, coordination and/or product management
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, speaking, writing and conversational.
